A neighborhood gem! Has everything you need and more. A great spot for housewares, kitchen supplies, kids toys, plants, local shelf stable food, cards, books and so much more. If you are ever in need of a unique gift, Welk’s is the place to go. Cashiers are no-nonsense and incredibly efficient. Unfortunately, the aisles are narrow and and it can get very busy on weekends. Not very accessible for folks in wheelchairs or with strollers.

They have so many great things here!!! My only complaint is that while they have SO MUCH STOCK, the layout of the store is very very very tight so you have to be considerate, look down the aisle to see if you can actually go down the aisle (the aisles are super duper narrow), otherwise you gotta find another route. Not joking. But it's worth it, they have great stuff.

Very cool housewares store on Main. So many items condensed in a relatively small area, and yet, it doesn't feel overwhelming. Incredible selection, you will find something you didn't think you needed in every aisle, and then you realize you did need that article, come find for yourself... Prices for some items might be a bit higher than regular retail in some cases, but convenience more than makes for that difference.

Welk’s is one of those places that has almost everything, and if you’re in a pinch, it will usually have what you need. I found brown sugar (during baking season x the Roger’s Sugar Shortage), a top recommended cherry pitter (during summer! Everywhere else was sold out), rubber cement… Lots of cool local brands/products, and the best home essentials/body care/candles/kitchen tools/snacks/gifts. Large selection of notebooks and tools, lots of plants for gardening in the summer, and a section of indoor plants all year. Every one that I’ve brought home so far has been happy and healthy, except one that died and it was probably definitely my fault. Whomever does the purchasing/ordering for Welk’s does a great job, because the store is full of things that are practical/functional, durable, good quality, beautiful, and also often FUNNY! Like pop culture icon fridge magnets, card selection, or the Christmas garland of a cat walking and serving figgy pudding. It’s still the best $12 I’ve ever spent.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews… Anyways, I saw an item with a good price on their website and decided to go into the store to make the purchase. When I arrived, I found the item but it didn’t have a price tag, so I asked the cashier if their online prices were the same as in store, which she said yes. When checking out, the item was more expensive than their website. The same cashier called over a manager, who told me that the prices are different and I could order it online but I’ll be hit with a lot of added fees. I mentioned that I asked the cashier about the prices and that she had confirmed that it was the same. She argued back that I didn’t show her the price. Well, she never asked! I had the screen ready on my phone while asking her in the beginning, but she never cared to look! Don’t be fooled by their low online prices… it seems like bait to lure you into the store. Fool me once…

Love! They have all kinds of stuff that I think dang where can we buy this thing? The answer is often Welk’s! They have so many non-alcoholic adult beverages and sustainable household items, not to mention stationary, plants, games, socks and books. The only downside is that it’s often crowded and I really want to lurk around when I’m there but feel like I’m in someone’s way, but everyone is friendly and likely doing the same!

One of the best general stores I have ever visited! Very helpful, friendly and dedicated employee. I changed my mind like three times about purchasing a Cilantro plant, but she was totally fine with it. She even kept the plant that I chose in a separate area that I can easily find it after changing my mind! Various goods from gardening to cookwares and household items. Most items are from well-known brands, not just random brand out of nowhere. Everything is very reasonably priced. Unlike other stores, they provide the best quality stuffs you can have and most innovative things you can never think of. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s just fun to go around and take a look at their stuffs. Some very normal items like a towel can really catch your attention with its intriguing kitty patterns. Every aisle always has something to make you stop to take a look. However, the least cool aisle is the food aisle, as you can also find the food anywhere. But overall, really fun place to go shopping :). Definitely recommend!
